The lockdown has provided so many of us with a chance to refine our own culinary skills as restaurants, bars, and cafes were forced to temporarily close because of Government restrictions. And while we have enjoyed being able to create our own dishes, there is something special about being able to have a dinner from our favourite restaurant.
For those palates which are pleased by traditional fish and chips with tartare sauce and pan-fried dishes, there is wonderful news as Hooked on Henry Street and Barna has launched it's takeaway (collection only ) service.
Serving freshly caught (from Ali's Fish Market ), quality fish, the family-run restaurant has reopened providing customers with a limited but delicious menu of seafood chowder to seafood paella; fish and chips (grilled & gluten free available ); monkfish goujons and chips; children's fish and chips; children's monk popcorn and chips; children's goujons and chips; mushy peas; and chip shop curry and much more. There are also Hooked pre-packed dishes available to purchase from Al's Fish Market every week.
.
In order to comply with Government guidelines, the restaurant will be implementing a number of measures to keep customers and workers safe. Customers call 091-581752 (Henry Street ) or 091-596623 (Barna ) to place an order and will be provided with a collection time. Entrance into Hooked's restaurant is prohibited so customers will receive their order from a member of staff who is behind a perspex divide at the front door. Payment can be taken for the order over the phone when customers place their order or by contactless on arrival.
Open Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 10pm on Henry Street and from 4pm to 9pm in Barna where there is ample free parking, the team at Hooked thank customers for their support during this time and look forward to seeing them briefly and from a distance for the time being.
