Galway’s award-winning Mexican restaurant reopened last week for Takeaway and Collection. After two months of closure due to Covid-19 restrictions, the business has relaunched with an online ‘click & collect’ and delivery service via their website www.tuco.ie
For a limited time only, customers can avail of a 20% off discount from their first order by using ‘TUCO20’. Limited walk-ins are also permitted but under strict social distancing guidelines that allow a maximum of 2 customers in store at any given time. Perspex dividers have been installed instore to minimize social contact, along with a host of other additional hygiene measures.
Speaking about the reopening, Tuco’s Owner Aonghus O Flaherty commented: “It’s been a tough few months for small businesses, filled with a lot of uncertainty. We closed on 14 March, before the lockdown was enforced as it felt like the right thing to do. The closure forced us to reevaluate a lot of things about our business model and how we need to plan for the future. In that time, we’ve had to rethink our distribution channels, with a greater emphasis on online. While I’m optimistic that things will return to normal again, it will be a new normal and businesses need to accept that and plan accordingly.
In November of last year, Tuco’s was named ‘Best Mexican Establishment’ at The Food Awards Ireland ceremony which was held at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport.
