Organ Donor Week, which was to run until Saturday, became another victim of the coronavirus lockdown, but Galwegisns wishing to donate can still do so online.
The Galway Branch of Irish Kidney Association would normally take to the streets of Galway city and towns around the county seeking Forget-Me-Nots during Organ Donor Week. As it is unable to do this, it is calling on the public to donate via the Galway IKA Facebook Page or text Kidney to 50300. Sending the text will donate €4 from the texters account to Irish Kidney Association.
The Irish Kidney Association is a national charity, providing patient aid, support, counselling, holiday dialysis, and vital services to patients with renal disease.
