See the Comedy KARLnival Birthday Bash on Friday

Phill Jupitus and Terry Alderton to help Galway comedy institution celebrates two years on the go

IT MAY be only two years on the go, but the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh is arguably a Galway comedy institution which even the coronavirus cannot keep down.

Featuring possibly the finest comedy MC in Ireland in Karl Spain; a regular bill of high quality comics; and with its origins lying in an undoubted highlight of Vodafone Comedy Carnival - the Late Night KARLnival - it is easy to see why this weekly stand-up show has put down such firm roots.

This week saw the KARLnival move online - while the coronavirus restrictions remain in force - and it returns to https://www.facebook.com/roisindubhcomedy tomorrow [Friday April 3] at 9pm for The Comedy KARLnival Birthday Bash!

This will be a birthday celebrated in style with a very high quality line-up featuring British comedy legend - and Galway favourite - Phill Jupitus; Terry Alderton, one of the most original and unpredictable comedians of recent times; Bernard Casey, one of Ireland's most popular comics; Tom “The Bear” O’Mahony, best known for his roles in Damo & Ivor and Bridget & Eamonn; and the comedy-music stylings of the Wild Atlantic Cabaret duo.

So join MC Karl Spain, and friends, as they bring you an hour of comedy, songs, and banter (stand up while sitting down at their laptop ), all without leaving your couch. Now what a good way to celebrate a birthday.
