SORCHA RICHARDSON, the Choice Prize nominated indie-rock singer-songwriter, was due to play the Róisín Dubh on April 18, but that gig has now been postponed.
Owing to the coronavirus restrictions, the show has been rescheduled to Friday September 11. Tickets bought for the April show will still be valid for the new show.
The Dublin musician, who spent the best part of a decade in New York, honing her craft, came to attention when songs like 'Last Train' and 'Ruin Your Night' gained traction on Spotify. Actor Chloe Grace Moretz sharing 'Petrol Station' with her +3 million Twitter followers also helped.
Last year saw Richardson release her debut album, First Prize Bravery, which was deservedly nominated for the Choice Music Prize Album of the Year award. As The Last Mixed Tape said: "First Prize Bravery comes to life through the choice of words, the tone and phrasing of how they are delivered, and the juxtaposition of intimate bedroom-pop songwriting brought to the fore by stylized production. Within this milieu, Sorcha Richardson’s debut is a record filled with late night streets, sunset vistas and hazy memories."
