No need to panic buy home heating oil advises CEO

There is no need to panic when it comes to ordering home heating oil, that is according to the CEO of Corrib Oil Company, Eugene Dalton.

It has been confirmed by the Irish Petroleum Industry Association (IPIA ) that home heating oil which is regarded as an essential service, has experienced a large increase in demand in the past week.

However, Corrib Oil Company located on the Tuam Road, has moved to allay any fears of a potential shortage in oil, saying it has put plans in place to protect all customers and staff in light of the advice provided by HSE.

Mr Dalton said; “We have seen an explosion in orders but we are operating at full stream. The company has provided extra manpower through redeployment of people from other parts of the business to deal with the large volume of orders and we will get this done.

“We have also worked with our suppliers to verify and ensure uninterrupted supply of heating oil, diesel, and petrol through this difficult time. There is a strong working relationship with Government to ensure this happens as the importance of an uninterrupted energy supply is required by Government.

“I can say there is no danger that our stocks will run low. There is no need to panic buy. There is plenty of home heating oil, agricultural oil, diesel, and petrol.”

Mr Dalton also thanked Corrib Oil Company’s customers for their patience as the business works efficiently to get all orders processed as soon as possible.

“I would like to thank all our customers for their patience in this time of unprecedented demand and I assure all customers that their requirements will be met. I would also like to thank the Corrib Oil team who are delivering a Herculean effort in this difficult time.”
