Gardai take to the pitch for charity

• Galway gardai take to the GAA pitch next Tuesday (April 28 ) to contest the John Lovett Memorial Trophy. Both male and female gardai over 30 will square up to their younger counterparts at Pearse Stadium (3pm ) to contest the tournament in memory of the well known Galway garda who was involved in many sports including the Salthill GAA Club. All proceeds from the day go directly to Console, the suicide and counselling support organisation in Galway. Entry to the stadium is free and all are welcome.
