Santa’s homeland is the stuff of fairytales. Snow-dusted pine forests, cosy log cabins, and more reindeer than people, whether you want to join elf school, decorate cookies with Mrs Claus, or zoom down ice slides, you will find it on these trips.
Day one: Arrival in Lapland and a full day of winter snow fun
The day begins with an early morning flight from Dublin or Shannon to Lapland. Subject to crew permission, the festive fun will begin. There will be Christmas singing, colouring, drawing, and lots of very excited children. On arrival at Rovaniemi Airport, the official airport of Santa Claus, you will be met by elves who will guide you throughout your stay and help you search for Santa. Once you have collected your special thermal clothing you will set off to enjoy wintery Lappish activities in the middle of nature.
Reindeer and husky sleigh rides, snowmobiling, sledging, and mini skidoo rides — with tasters of each there are many ways to play in the snow in Lapland
Candles and fires, together with snow covered trees and the magical lights of the Arctic, will bring the spirit of Christmas to your trip. After a long day you will return to the hotel where you can relax and unwind and enjoy a three course buffet dinner. Don't forget the snow covered town of Rovaniemi is on the doorstep for those still eager to explore.
Day two
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and visit Santa Claus village, located on the Arctic Circle. You and your family will enjoy a private meeting with Santa in his official office and Santa will have a small token gift for each child. Make friends with the cheerful postal elves in Santa's Post Office, which is a colourful world of beautiful cards, stamps, and gifts. Children will have time to write and send their letters from Santa’s official post office. On leaving the village and returning your thermal clothing, it's time to take a short coach transfer back to Rovaniemi Airport for the flight home and bid a happy farewell to the land of Santa Claus.
