2020 is shaping up to be an incredible year for Galway, but you don’t have to wait for the summer to see some incredible acts in our city! Monroe’s has so much to offer this St Patrick’s Day, so if you’re looking for something to do, this should be first on your list! As well as having an All Star line-up in the Venue from the 13th to the 17th, the Tavern has plenty going on too!
Kicking off the celebrations on Friday 13th March, The Strolling Homes* return to the Venue. This Rolling Stones tribute is renowned for perfectly recreating the songs made famous by Jagger and Richards, bringing out your Sympathy For The Devil and always delivering Satisfaction!
Saturday 14th it’s Ireland v France who go head to head in the final round of the 2020 Six Nations. The Tavern, the Venue and McBrides Bar will be open, so space for groups won’t be an issue here! Plus, they’ve a 16ft screen and plenty of food and drink offers, so get settled. Afterwards, it’s Smash Hits* in the Venue. Last time it sold out well in advance, and though there are still a few tickets available, they won’t be around for long...
Sunday 15th it’s Mouse & Co as well as the usual trad music - no rest for the wicked!
Monday night Ejeca* takes to the decks in the Venue, a firmly established name as a reputable purveyor of high quality house and techno and practically a local to Galway by now! And for those who prefer something softer to start the week, Sin a Deir Si play in the Tavern. These are sure to get you ready for Paddy’s Day!
The Monroe’s line-up for St. Patrick’s Day is the crescendo of a great few days of music!
Galway’s own Amazing Apples* play from 8pm in the Venue so you can start your night early! They’ll also have Sin na Deir Si from 6pm and Mouse & Co from 9pm in the Tavern, so there’s genuinely something for everyone this Paddy’s Day at Monroe’s!
And if the sound of all this action is making you hungry, don’t worry; Monroe’s Kitchen serves delicious food 7 days a week from 12.30pm ‘til late. From their delicious Galway Hooker Fish & Chips and Asian Style Stir-Fried Noodles, to their Kentucky Chicken Burger and Nachos, your belly will thank you! Washed down with a creamy pint or a tasty cocktail, you’ll be well looked after in Monroe’s.
If it’s great food, drink and entertainment you’re looking for this St. Patrick’s weekend, Monroe’s in Galway’s buzzing Westend is the place to be.
