Europe's largest film jury needs you

Galwegians aged from 12 to 14 are sought to take part in Europe-wide event in April

GALWAY FILM Fleadh, in association with Galway 2020 and the Pálás Cinema, is partnering with the European Film Academy to take part in the EFA’s Young Audience Award.

The event is taking place on Sunday April 26 at the Pálás from 9am to 7pm, and the fleadh is looking for young people to take part, and be involved in what is Europe’s biggest film jury.

The Young Audience Award is a simultaneous, Europe-wide, film viewing event. On April 26, three nominated films are screened in 67 different cities, in 40 different countries. Each participating city involves an audience of young people who act as a jury and vote for their favourite film. All participating cities interact with each other via video conference and social media.

Those interested must be aged between 12 and 14; be attending school in Galway city or county; have an interest in cinema; and be able to attend a preparation workshop. To apply go to https://junior.galwayfilmfleadh.com/efayaa2020. Closing date for applications is April 10.
