Aodh Ó Coileáin's Cumar – A Galway Rhapsody at the Pálás Cinema

CUMAR: A Galway Rhapsody, Aodh Ó Coileáin's acclaimed and award winning documentary on Galway's artistic community, will be screened in the Pálás Cinema on Sunday March 1.

'Cumar' (meaning confluence ) stands as a rhapsody to Galway from its artistic community. It features six Galway based artists and explores their homeplace as a source of impetus for artistic endeavour. The film features comedian Tommy Tiernan, writer Mike McCormack, poet Rita Ann Higgins, singer Róisín Seoighe, Macnas's Noeline Kavanagh, visual artist Pádraic Reaney, and musician Máirtín O’Connor.

The screening is part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, and is in association with Galway 2020. The screening takes place at 7pm and will be followed by a Q&A with producer Paddy Hayes and Mike McCormack. Tickets are €10 from the box office or palas.ie
