O’Donnellan & Joyce office is a hive of activity ahead of upcoming auction

The O’Donnellan & Joyce offices at 5 Mary Street Galway are buzzing with energy this week as auction staff are busy attending to the phones and email enquiries ahead of the upcoming auction on Friday February 28 in the Harbour Hotel, Galway. With 50 properties going under the auction hammer in every corner of the country, it is no wonder that auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan is known nationwide for his energy and enthusiasm on the podium as the company continues to grow into a nationwide service provider.

The extensive catalogue ranges from two, three, and four bedroom homes to office spaces, investment properties, land, and even an hotel, with lots on offer right across the country. The popular auction house has proven itself on the east coast with a number of properties for sale in Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, and Wexford, while the company continues to serve Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, and Roscommon and stretch as far as Tipperary and Westmeath.

With nearly 50 open viewings taking place each week in the lead up to the auction, the auction department is a hive of activity with phones ringing non-stop and requests for contracts and further details keeping the team on their toes. Those who wish to bid remotely or would like to avail of the free ‘thinking of selling’ valuation service are reminded to get in contact early due to the current catalogue attracting such attention.

Senior auction negotiator Mary Fahy said: “We have had an unbelievable response to the great variety of properties that we have on sale in our next auction and we are delighted with the response to the current catalogue. With such a busy start to the year, we have a catalogue already open for the April auction and properties are being entered every day. We expect a very busy auction room on Friday February 28 and would like to thank all parties who have expressed interest in our current lots and we wish them the best of luck in the auction room. It’s sure to be an exhilarating day as Colm sells about 30 properties per hour.”

Registration for the auction commences at 11am in the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway, on the auction day, and Colm O’Donnellan will start the auction proceedings at 12 noon. For those who cannot attend in person, the auction is streamed live online at www.odonnjoyce.com and phone, internet, and proxy bidding services are available subject to prior registration.
