AIDAN GREENE had a stutter, still has a stutter, but overcame it to become a comedian admired by Tommy Tiernan, and who is now touring a show about what he call "this sexy, silent disability".
Aidan, described as "one of the most unique comedians working today” by The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, will bring Did I Stutter? to the Town Hall Theatre studio on Thursday March 5 at 8.30pm.
"Did I Stutter? Yes, I absolutely did," said Aidan. "Quite badly actually. I have a stutter. Let’s clear up misconceptions you may have about it: from The King’s Speech to bad dates to ancient Nordic cures, this comedy show will break down everything you thought you knew about this sexy, silent disability, and teach you some things you definitely didn’t want to know!"
The Cavan native has appeared on the The Moth Podcast, NPR, BBC Radio 4, and ABC Australia. He has had three sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As Deadline News said: "Aidan Greene clearly has a talent for comedy, and harnessing his gift has given him an authentic edge."
Tickets are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
