Joe Rooney for the Laughter Lounge

JOE ROONEY, who recently appeared in the Town Hall Theatre at Whose Line Is It Anyway? sporting a dapper moustache any 19th century gentlemen would have been proud of, is returning to Galway.

Joe will headline the Laughter Lounge in the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday April 29 at 9pm. He has played the role of Timmy Higgins in Killinaskully and featured on RTÉ 2’s The Liffey Laugh. However he is best known for playing Father Damo in Father Ted.

Also appearing on the night is Nina Benjamin. She was catapulted to stardom as one third of the BBC’s 3 Non-Blondes and also featured as a studio guest on Big Brother’s Big Mouth. Other recent television appearances include Celebrity Masterchef and The Underdog Show.

The MC on the night is the brilliant Paddy Courtney and on the open spot is Gerry McGuire.
