'Incredibly funny' Ger Staunton to headline Comedy KARLnival

Support is from Cormac McGuinness and Denise Padden, with Karl Spain as MC

GER STAUNTON has been called “incredibly funny” by The Examiner and as "one of the best comedy writers in Ireland. An absolute stand out” by The International Comedy Club.

Galway will see why when he headlines the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday February 18 at 8pm. A regular headline act on the Irish circuit, his material is meticulously crafted and delivered in a playful, tongue-in-cheek, style. He recently returned from his second European tour, and is currently working towards his fifth Edinburgh Fringe Festival show.

Support is from Cormac McGuinness, who has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Festival in Dublin and the Vodafone Comedy Carnival in Galway, and Australia's Denise Padden, whose humour is bawdy, irreverent, and bold. Expect anecdotes about Perth's sex industry.

The MC will be Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from Róisín Dubh; www.roisindubh.net; or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €8 at the door. Admission includes free entry to the Silent Disco afterwards.
