St Patrick's Brass Band to make Town Hall debut

A night of songs from the movies and the musicals

ST PATRICK'S Brass Band, a Galway institution, will make, astonishingly, its debut appearance at the Town Hall Theatre, as part of a gala concert produced by Twin Productions.

The show, which comes ahead of Twin Productions' staging of the musical version of 9 To 5, takes place on Thursday February 13 at 8pm. The line-up is St Patrick's Brass Band, tenor Paul Hennessy, singer/actor Róisín Egenton, Stephen Macken, Eimear Reynolds, and Emily Lohan, They will perform songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Chess, Carousel, and Jekyll & Hyde, as well as music from Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars.

Paul Hennessy was a member of the original Irish Tenors and Celtic Tenors. He sang at the All Ireland hurling and football finals in 1998, 1999, and 2000, and at the International Rules series. He has made numerous TV appearances, on programmes such as The Late Late Show, The Rose of Tralee, and The Afternoon Show. He has also appeared in a number of musicals around Ireland, as well as in pantomimes.
