BERNARD CASEY has been called "a wonderfully well-crafted performer with a great old school style of storytelling”, by no less a comedian than the great Tommy Tiernan.
Galway will see why when Casey plays the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday February 11 at 8pm. The Kerry native is already one of Ireland's top online stars, with more than 70,000 subscribers and seven million online views for his videos, including the Polish/Irish Accent, the French Oral, the Irish Listening Test, and his hugely popular character the Local Gossip.
His acclaimed stand-up is a journey through language, accents, stories, and traditions. Expect tales of young men trying to pull in nightclubs, boyracers, and Casey's insane jealousy of his dog.
Also on the bill is Armagh born, Cork based Chris McShane, a loveable rogue with a magic mind full of inventive and vivid imagery. He has supported Ross Browne, David McSavage, Fred Cooke, and Pat McDonnell.
Support is from Michael Roche. The MC is Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from the Róisín Dubh; www.roisindubh.net; or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, or €8 at the door.
