Galway Film Society - new season

La Belle Époque, starring Daniel Auteuil and Fanny Ardant opens spring season screenings

FRENCH FILM La Belle Époque, starring Daniel Auteuil (Jean de Florette ) and Fanny Ardant (Paris, Je T'Aime ), will open the new season of screenings from the Galway Film Society at the Pálás Cinema.

Galway Film Society's spring season begins on Sunday February 16 with La Belle Epoque, in which disillusioned sexagenarian Victor is offered a chance to step back in time by Antoine, a brilliant entrepreneur with an extraordinary new venture - the ability to go back to any era you choose via a mixture of theatrical artifices and historical reconstruction. Victor decides to relive the most memorable week of his life, where, 40 years earlier, he met his great love.

GFS will run for eight weeks with each film being screened on Sunday at 6.30pm and Monday at 8.30pm. Ahead of each screening, Little Cinema will show a short film, of under five minutes. Season membership cards are available at the Pálás box office, which is open from 12 noon daily.
