FIRST BROADCAST on RTÉ in June 1979, Bosco was an Irish children's television phenomenon and a shared cultural experience for a generation, and the legend continues - these days on stage.
While no longer on TV, Bosco has enjoyed a new lease of life through theatre playing to old fans (parents ) and new fans (their children ) and delighting both. On Sunday February 2 at 1pm and 3pm, the Paula Lambert Puppet theatre will present Bosco: Magical Garden and Sleeping Beauty at the Town Hall Theatre.
Bosco is neither a boy nor a girl. Instead Bosco is a very modern puppet - non-binary, gender fluid, cheeky, funny, a big-hearted, irrepressible, eternal five-year-old who lives in a box. The upcoming show will be an interactive live production.
