Pálas to hold charity film screening for Australian Red Cross

The Adventures Of Priscilla Queen of the Desert gets charity big screen outing at the Pálás

THE ADVENTURES Of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the much loved 1994 Australian comedy film, will be screened at the Pálás Cinema to raise funds for the Australian Red Cross.

The screening, which will take place this Sunday [January 26] at 3.15pm, is to raise funds for the work of the Red Cross in response to the wildfires in New South Wales, which has had a devastating impact on the environment, wildlife, and local communities, and has resulted in the loss of human and animal life.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a comedy-drama film written and directed by Stephan Elliott, and follows two drag queens - Tick (Hugo Weaving ) and Adam (Guy Pearce ) - and transgender Bernadette (Terence Stamp ), as they journey across the Australian Outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a pink tour bus called 'Priscilla', along the way encountering various groups and individuals.
