Ryan Finnegan of Winters Property has made the final of the IPAV’s Young Professionals Network, Novice Rostrum Auctioneer Competition 2020.
Ian Hutchinson, senior sales agent with Winters, said: “Everybody at Winters wishes Ryan all the best for the national final. Ryan is currently on a graduate training programme which involves working in all departments of our business. Two departments of the business Ryan has worked closely in are the student accommodation section and with our sales team. Both these sections of the business work closely together.
“As an example of this, in 2016 we took over the management and letting of a 112 unit student accommodation village in Galway city. Our management team made an immediate impact on both the operating costs and the rental figures which saw owners benefit from a 60 per cent increase in net revenue. Students have also benefited from the estate being professionally managed, with improvements in their living standards via our refurbishment programme.
“Sales prices for units have soared since Winters took over, increasing by 80 per cent over the duration of our management," Mr Hutchinson added. "Well managed student accommodation continues to an attractive investment for investors. Winters' sales team work closely with the student village across all our managed sites to ensure that capital values are enhanced. Through this strong working relationship, we are able to achieve higher sales prices than our competitors. This is done by providing potential purchasers with the latest up to date rental figures and projections and also explaining the detailed operations of such sites.”
