Pedestrian knocked down by motorbike

Gardai are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a motorcycle in the city last week.

On Saturday January 4 between 4.30pm and 5pm, the pedestrian, while crossing the road between St Anthony’s Terrace and Coole Park on Bohermore, was knocked down by a motorcyclist.

Both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were injured in the collision.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.

Gardai probe Headford Road accident

On Friday December 6 at approximately 8:25pm at Galway Shopping Centre on the Headford Road (car park opposite Dealz ), a woman was knocked down by a car while crossing the road.

Two members of the public came to the assistance of the woman, however, these two people left the scene before gardai could get their details.

One of these was a woman in her 20s who gave the injured party the registration of the vehicle and the other person was a man also in his 20s. Gardai are appealing to these two people to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.
