This year’s Compere is again the one and only Michael Commins, well known for his late night radio shows on Mid West FM, his country music column in the Farmers Journal and a great friend of the Keane Family.
The Hernon Family from Carna in Connemara make a welcome return this year. They are well known for their rich, vibrant music and sean-nos dancing. Marcus Hernon is a renowned Flute player, composer, and performer. He will be joined by his two very talented sons Prionsias and Brendan and their cousin Labhras Hernon, a beautiful accompanist on keyboard and piano.
Meadhbh O’Neill and Caoimhe Ni Flaharta appear for their first time at the Claregalway Concerts. They play several instruments, not to mention Sean Nos dancing.
