GALWAY folk-rock/prog-rock band Croi8 are starting work on another album and have launched a crowdfunding appeal through fundit.ie to support the recording of the new work.
The crowdfunding can be accessed through fundit.ie/project/cro8---new-album The funds will be spent on studio time and mastering of the album as well as CD replication, design and printing. Those who donate will be entitled to various rewards such as tickets to the launch; CDs; posters; merchandise, including a book with the musical arrangements; accreditation in the new album; while the top reward is a private one-hour concert. The campaign ends on January 8.
The band is Barry Hurley (vocals/drums/percussion/guitar ), David O'Keeffe (guitar ), Stuart Wicke (bass ), Sinéad Bracken (flute ), Marcio Noal (electric guitar ). The album will also feature vocal contributions from Adrian O'Kane and Yvonne Aherne. "Crowdfunding this project will help us to complete out the work," said the band. "We're really looking forward to getting this music out there."
The album will feature 13 tracks and is planned for release in December 2020. See www.croi-8.net
