Steve Bennett to headline the Comedy KARLnival

Inaugural Irish Comedian Of The Year winner to headline show at the Róisín Dubh

STEVE BENNETT, resplendent in wildman beard, and armed with his trusty ukulele, will headline the next Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh Comedy on Tuesday December 10.

Steve Bennett was winner of the Irish Comedian of the Year Award 2016, whose mix of charming wit and musical comedy has brought him to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; the Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne comedy festivals, and the Irish festival and comedy circuit. Chortle.co.uk called him "an adept entertainer with an engagingly wry sense of humour…a feel-good experience is guaranteed”, while The West Australian declared him a "fabulous storyteller...side-splittingly funny".

Also on the bill is Aideen McQueen, a So You Think You’re Funny? finalist, who has also played the International Comedy Club and The Laughter Lounge. Support is from Kevin Kennedy.

The MC is Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from Róisín Dubh; www.roisindubh.net; or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €8 at the door. Doors are at 8pm.
