The Ardilaun Leisure Club was among the recipients at the prestigious gala banquet awards ceremony and annual conference in Johnstown Estate in Meath.
These national quality standards awards are the most sought-after and respected accolades in the Irish leisure and fitness industry and are awarded to facilities that meet the operational standards for leisure and fitness facilities across 250 quality based criteria, while acknowledging excellence in this growing sector. The standard is designed to encourage continuous improvement within the areas of safety, hygiene, customer service and human resources, championing the best in their respective fields.
Ireland Active is the national association for the leisure, health, and fitness sector and represent more than 300 publicly and privately-owned leisure centres, gyms, swimming pools, fitness, educational providers and recreation facilities nationwide. The fitness industry employs an estimated 9,000 people generating more than €300 million for the Irish economy each year.
The Ardilaun Leisure Club was acknowledged for its excellence and received the Exceeded Award status – a worthy accolade, and is among other Galway winners, Kingfisher Clubs Renmore and NUI Galway, Leisureland, and Coral Leisure.
