Emman Idama at the Comedy KARLnival

The man Chortle says has 'panache and charm to spare' returns to the Róisín Dubh

EMMAN IDAMA, the Nigerian-born Irish citizen and one of the most popular young comedians on the circuit right now, headlines the next Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh.

Emman started his comedy career while still at school – much to the dismay of his teachers. Now a regular on the club circuit, he has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Festival Dublin, the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit, and Longitude. He has also appeared on RTE’s Republic of Telly, The Year That’s In It, and Des Bishop’s This Is Ireland. Chortle.co.uk called him, "charming and energetic…panache and charm to spare”.

Also on the bill are Michael Downey, who was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny? alongside Alan Carr, Russell Howard, and John Bishop; and Leonie McDonagh who regularly hosts cabaret nights and has made appearances at leading Northern Irish comedy clubs.

The show is on Tuesday November 19. Doors are at 8pm. The MC is Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from Róisín Dubh, www.roisindubh.net, or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €8 at the door.
