The entry level new Golf will have LED headlights, LED tail-lights, keyless start, digital cockpit, We Connect, We Connect Plus mobile online services and functions, automatic A/C, lane assist, turn-off assist, front assist motoring.
After the first nine months of this year, the VW Golf is the seventh best selling car in the Irish market. This is down by 25 per cent on a similar period last year. However, summary analysis shows a good portion of those are Volkswagen owners who have opted for the VW T-Roc, as part of the on-going drift to SUVs.

201 special offers campaign
Volkswagen Ireland has announced details of its 201 campaign which encourages customers to ‘Bring the Change’ and move into a new Volkswagen model. The offer includes technology upgrades across the range, and zero per cent APR PCP finance on many models. It also is offering purchase contributions of up to €2,500 and discounted service plans.
Volkswagen remains Ireland’s number one car brand and features a greatly revised line-up. The addition recently of the new Passat, including the Passat GTE plug-in hybrid, means the Volkswagen range includes the latest EU6 petrol, diesel, electric and now plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Technology upgrades group some of the most desirable technology features for a special bundled price. The all-electric e-Golf Executive Edition is now also available with zero per cent PCP with a three-year service
The Polo Comfortline model, various T-Roc and Tiguan models, the new Passat models including the Passat GTE plug-in hybrid model, are among those with different special offers.
Volkswagen Ireland also says the Arteon, Touran, Sharan and Touareg models also have special offers as part of their 201 campaign.
