Rock Against Homelessness - Saturday 23rd November at Monroe’s Galway

The Sunday Independent’s Rock Against Homelessness concert in aid of Focus Ireland - now in its fifth year - is heading West. Earlier this year, the show sold-out the Olympia Theatre and saw performances from Camille O'Sullivan, Tommy Fleming, Aidan Gillen, Deirdre O'Kane, Finbar Furey, The Celtic Tenors and Laura Whitmore among others, helping to raise a record total of over €25,000.

On November 23rd, top Irish acts Brave Giant and State Lights will play Rock Against Homelessness at Monroe’s Galway in aid of Focus Ireland and COPE Galway.

Focus Ireland CEO Pat Dennigan said: “People tend to think of homelessness as mostly a Dublin problem but sadly people are homeless and at risk nationwide. There are over 500 families with children homeless outside of Dublin and a record total of over 10,000 people homeless nationwide. Rock Against Homelessness will raise vital funds and more awareness towards the need to end this terrible human crisis."

Galwegians can expect a night of incredible live music, at the heart of which focuses on a very worthy cause. Gary Monroe, promoter/booking agent at Monroe’s, said: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to host this fantastic event. Homelessness affects so many families around Ireland and we’re happy to do our bit in Galway. We’re looking forward to great performances from State Lights & Brave Giant, and it's sure to be a great night.”

Show your support and be part of an amazing evening of live music for a fantastic cause.
