Tickets are still available for this weekend's Astro-Nomic Carnmore LipSync Challenge being held to raise funds for the fantastic new astro pitch facility at Carnmore GAA grounds.
More than 700 people will flock to the Clayton Hotel this Saturday (November 2 ) to watch a selection of hurling and camogie stars from the past and the present go through their paces on what will be a fun-filled night.
The fundraising event will defray the costs of the club’s fantastic new €200,000 astro pitch facility at the Carnmore GAA grounds in the heart of the community.
The acts are: Declan Walsh; Muiris Quinn; Hannah Walsh, Alannah Griffin, Shauna Brennan and Kate Slevin; Bridie Walsh, Rita O’Leary, Mark Casey and Colm Griffin; Declan Madden, Peter Brady, Micheal Grealish, Paul Noone, Colin Barry, Neil Purcell, Barry Carberry, Darragh Moran, Kevin Keane and Declan O’Brien; Conor Flaherty, Enda Collins and Sean Killilea; Malachy Noone; Galway footballer Danny Cummins, Ronan Morgan, Trevor Casserly and Jason Byrne; Harry O’Gorman and Marc Slevin; Greg Conneely, Philip Murphy, and Paul Casserly; Trisha Grealish, Andrea Fox, and Mary Lardner; Val Coleman, Niamh Heffernan, Aisling Killilea and Laoise Byrne; Aoife O’Callaghan; and Shane Hynes, Darragh Leonard, Damien Foy, and Conor Glynn.
The Carnmore Hurling Club and Carnmore Camogie Club are both appealing to all parents whose children use the club facilities to support this event as it is a further investment in the community facilities that will enable their children to continue playing sport at all times of the year in a safe and clean environment.
At present, both clubs prepare and train more than 30 teams at all levels, and this new pitch is a further investment in the development of their spacious grounds.
Tickets at €25 each for the Astronomic LipSync Challenge are selling fast, but there are still some available from www.carnmoregaa.net; from Glynn's Centra; Mace, Carnmore; and Hughes SuperValu Claregalway.
