Hong Kong celebrities to bring joys of Connemara to audience of millions

A TV crew from Hong Kong are currently in Ireland filming a series of shows (Fun Abroad & See the World ) for their hugely popular national broadcast TVB.

The five episodes will highlight two women, who are celebrities in Hong Kong, travelling around Ireland. The programmes will go live in 2020 and it is expected to be seen by 3.3 million viewers between the two shows, Fun Abroad and See the World.

The travel shows will feature two girls engaging in a number of activities in Connemara and Dublin and are pictured on a recent film shoot at Letterfrack with DK Oysters.

The group were accompanied by Jane Stokes, Fáilte Ireland and Gwen Leung, Tourism Ireland. Jane Stokes, Failte Ireland said that the programmes will be seen by millions of people across Hong Kong and further afield as this is a very popular Cantonese- speaking TV Channel.

“We believe this will encourage visitors from Hong Kong to come and experience for themselves what Ireland, and indeed Connemara has to offer,” she said.
