Anam Cara support evening next week

Anam Cara Galway, will host a parent support evening in the Clayton Hotel, Briat Hill on November 6 at 7.20pm As the dark evenings draw in and the Festive Season starts to make its presence felt this is one time of year most bereaved parents wish they could forget about.

Many will say they want to bury their head until it is all over or go to bed and get up in January. Sadly, over 2,000 families will have lost a child this year and will face many firsts without them, including their first Christmas.

During the Anam Cara Parent evening mothers and fathers can avail of the support and comfort from other bereaved parents who understand the intense grief, pain and devastation after the death of a precious child. Anam Cara will provide a safe and comfortable space for you remember your child with other bereaved parents.

One bereaved mum recently said that when she met other parents the sheer isolation lifted. “For the first time I understood that what I was experiencing was normal.”

This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless the age of your child or circumstances of their death.

Bereaved parents can also visit www.anamcara.ie, where in their own time they can watch short videos with testimonies from bereaved parents and couples who have attended Anam Cara events.
