Galway hosted the Connaught finals of the HSE Community Games team events recently with all five counties represented.
More than 1,000 children competed in badminton, chess, choir, draughts, handball, indoor soccer, and table-tennis in Mountbellew, and surrounding areas, Williamstown, Abbeyknockmoy, and Ballygar.
The winning teams in all events will represent their respective counties at the national finals in May to be held in Athone - the first time in 35 years that the finals will be held outside Mosney.
