Thomas Gabriel makes his return to Ireland following his first appearance at Monroe's last year on the anniversary of his grandfather's infamous tour of 1963, and takes to the Monroe’s stage again on Sunday 27th October.
Thomas Gabriel was predominantly raised on the road, and spent his childhood on tour with his grandparents, June and Johnny Cash. When he was young, his grandfather would call him onstage to sing, which helped to nurture his interest in performing. Thomas is a prolific songwriter.
His music brings to mind the likes of Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt and Tom Russell. Thomas brings along a band of top Nashville musicians and performs a mix of his own songs and some of his grandfather's. Along with an iconic voice that resembles his grandfather’s, he brings a wealth of stories from his memories of his childhood and growing up a member of such an iconic family.
