Christmas is approaching, things are getting busy in Lapland with Santa preparing for Christmas, and Fahy Travel is offering the sleepover of a lifetime. The flight leaves Shannon first thing in the morning and the fun starts at the airport. There will be Christmas singing, colouring, drawing, and lots of very excited children. On arrival at Rovaniemi Airport, the official airport of Santa Claus, you will be met by elves who will guide you throughout your stay and help you search for Santa.
Once you have collected your special thermal clothing you will enjoy wintery Lappish activities in the middle of nature. Candles and fires, together with snow covered trees and the magical lights of the Arctic, will add to Christmas spirit. During the day you can take a break from the activities and recharge your batteries by enjoying a nice hot lunch in a cosy restaurant. After a long day, return to the hotel where you can relax and unwind and enjoy a three course buffet dinner. Don’t forget the snow covered town of Rovaniemi is on your doorstep for those still eager to explore.
The following morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit Santa Claus Village, located on the Arctic Circle. You and your family will enjoy a private meeting with Santa in his official office, and Santa will have a small token gift for each child. Make friends with the cheerful postal elves in Santa’s Post Office where you will see a colourful world of beautiful cards, stamps, and gifts. You will have time to write and send your letters from Santa’s official post office.
Finally, it’s time to take a short coach transfer back to Rovaniemi airport for our flight home and bid a happy farewell to the land of Santa Claus.
