The Galway Plaza has been selected as having the Best Forecourt Facilities at the annual Forecourt and Convenience Retailer Awards.
“It’s a fantastic achievement by all our team at The Galway Plaza to win this award,” the owner of The Plaza Group, Pat McDonagh, said.
“The Galway Plaza has set the standard by which we have expanded The Plaza Group. We pride ourselves on offering one of the best services along our country’s motorways and it’s great to get the recognition from the industry’s leaders.

“We really have put in the effort over the last year to push boundaries and drive the business forward. We’ve had an exceptional year ourselves, having opened the Kinnegad Plaza, which has been exceptionally busy.”
The awards, hosted by Marty Whelan, are now in their 16th year and they celebrate the finest forecourt retailers from across the island. The local forecourt industry has a significant and growing share of Ireland’s 18-billion-euro grocery and convenience market.
While recognised as one of most advanced forecourt markets in world, the sector across Ireland also plays a significant role in local communities, providing support and assistance for many local clubs and charities.
It is this variety of roles played by the sector that is recognised at these important awards.
