MARTIN BEANZ Warde has been added to the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway programme, performing his show, The Gomey Feen, at the Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, on Saturday October 26 at 6pm.
As a Traveller who is gay and a comedian, he describes himself as a minority within a minority within a minority. “I don't know what was tougher; coming out as gay or as a comedian," he said. None of that has stopped him amassing 30,000+ Facebook followers; getting rave reviews from comedy A-Listers like Tommy Tiernan and Des Bishop; and playing Electric Picnic.
The Gomey Feen is an unscripted ad-libbed treat, telling stories about what it is like to be a Traveller in modern Ireland, with Martin is promising "a journey of laughter, craic, and good old Irish divilment". For tickets see www.vodafonecomedycarnival.com
