Lawrencetown Community Development Group is to receive €13,943 in CLÁR funding for a sensory garden. The award comes under Measure 3c of CLÁR, aimed at funding projects supporting community well-being.
A sensory garden is a self-contained garden area that is designed to allow people to enjoy a wide variety of sensory experiences they would not normally encounter. The funding has been welcomed by the Minister for Rural Affairs Seán Canney.
“I am delighted the group will be receiving funding from my Department under the 2019 CLÁR programme,” he said. “Measures such as this make a significant difference to people living in CLÁR areas.”
