The Skeff helps raise €10k for charity

'Giving back to the community and supporting local efforts for those in need will remain, a great focus' says business

The Skeff Late Bar & Kitchen said it was "proud to have helped play our part" alongside numerous local charities, societies, and clubs to help raise €10,000 over the past 12 months.

Charities which have benefited from the proceeds raised were ACT for Meningitis, Croí, Rosabel’s Rooms, COPE, Cancer Care West, and Western Alzheimers. Much of the money has been raised via the venue's popular monthly fundraising table quizzes. These have included themed quizzes on Game of Thrones, Friends, 1980s and 1990s trivia, and Father Ted.

The Skeff events team has also run numerous fundraising events, such as the stylish Racing for Rosabel in aid of Rosabel’s Rooms and coffee morning in aid of Variety Children’s Charity.

The Skeff has also extend its sponsorship umbrella to Galway Musical Society, Galway University Musical Society, Galwegian’s Women’s Rugby, Titans Basketball, Clarenbridge GAA, and Connacht Rugby.

"Giving back to the community and supporting local efforts for those in need has been, and will remain, a great focus for the team," said a spokesperson for The Skeff. "Having been involved in helping COPE with its Christmas Wish List and annual Christmas Lunch Appeal last year, they look forward to showing support again this year during the festive season."
