TWO TOWERING figures in Galway music, and two of the county's "greatest and most popular singer-songwriters," as this paper has previously described them, play the next Eclectics gig night.
Padraig Stevens and Leo Moran play Eclectics at the Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, on Wednesday September 25 at 9pm. The duo will perform original songs dealing with the rain in Galway, the Tuam Beat, rashers and sausages, and much more. This will be their first Galway gig following their US tour.
Support is from Majestic Bears. The duo combine Irish and American trad, folk, and country. GoldenPlec called their music "well-crafted folk...rooted in traditional, rustic sounds.”
Tonight, Eclectics plays host to folk/jazz/pop ensemble Paper Moon, who will be joined by indie folk singer-songwriter Bríd Kenny. Doors are at 9pm.
Doors for both shows are at 9pm. Admission for each gig is €10.
