THE COMMUNIST Manifesto, written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848, will be proclaimed and debated on the streets of Galway as part of Culture Night, tonight [Friday September 20].
Singer Mary Coughlan, and others, will be taking part in this event, organised by Margaretta D’Arcy, in the city centre streets from 6pm. Expect someone to declare: "Let the ruling classes tremble with the new culture,We have nothing to lose but our chains We have a world to win."
