YVONNE FAHY, the multi-instrumentalist trad musician, and a member of Trad On The Prom, has released her new album Diversity, which contains the No 1 iTunes World Music chart hit, 'Sliabh and Oir'.
Originally from Ballinakill, County Galway, she was born into a family steeped in Irish trad. Her grandfather, Thomas Whyte, was a founder member of the Ballinakill Ceili Band, the first band to feature on the Irish radio in the 1920s.
Fahy won numerous All Ireland titles for bodhran, and later was part of the Ceoltoiri Magh Locha group which performed the A Taste of Ireland show in Singapore, Australia, and the USA. She has worked with The 4 Of Us, is a member of the chart topping trad-rock group Furry Village, and regularly tours with the Máirín Fahy Band.
She also co-wrote the No 1 iTunes Country track, ‘The Wild Atlantic Way’, with Marc Roberts, and more recently, the iTunes country chart topping song, 'The One For Me'.
