WHAT IS it like to be a dedicated member of a political party, working your way up through the ranks, believing in all the party stands for, and then, to see that certainty and belief shattered?
Just Guff by Jim Ward, winner of the Best Play from the West of Ireland Award at the 2017 Galway Fringe Festival, will be performed in Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr, on Saturday September 14
Set in a Irish small town post office, a series of revelations turn certainty in his core beliefs in a monolith and in his family upside down for ageing party political hack Sean T. Based on factual events and peppered with details and humorous anecdotes about Irish politics, Just Guff was also a Sunday Times 'Pick of the week' for theatre.
The play is staged by Hot Potato Productions and is directed by Jenny Bassett. The cast is Michael Irwin, Colette Devaney, Anne Ronayne, and Vera Kilgallon. For tickets see aras-eanna.ie
