Ingredients
300g plain flour
200g caster sugar
200g unsalted butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
200g chocolate chips (mixture of dark and milk chips )
Pinch of salt
Method
Preheat your oven to 160°C.
Melt the butter gently and add to a bowl with the sugar and mix.
Sift in the flour along with the baking powder, add the salt and vanilla extract. Then add the chocolate chips.
Mix until you get a firm dough, add the egg and knead with your hand.
Take a small amount of mixture, roll into a ball, and then slightly flatten onto a greased baking tray. Continue to do so until you have all the dough used (remember to leave space between each one as they spread a lot while baking ).
Bake for 12-18 minutes (they will be done when the edges turn slightly golden ).
