From Galway street scenes to abstract art

Collette McDonagh exhibits at the Renzo Café

THE ARTIST Colette McDonagh is currently exhibiting her latest works, which include Galway street scenes, portraits, landscapes, and works inspired by abstract art, in the Renzo Café, Eyre Street.

Colette’s interest in art was cultivated in college and was furthered developed in recent years by attending various art classes, more recently under the watchful eye of Jim Kavanagh. She has exhibited her work in various solo and group exhibitions and has also been assigned to create commissioned pieces. Her work is now part of collections both at home and abroad. She has experimented with various media, from water colour, pen and ink lino print, pastels but her preferred medium is oil.
