Faraway Martin - new single, Galway gig

Mayo singer-songwriter plays Galway next week as part of '32 gigs in all 32 counties, in 32 days' tour

FARAWAY MARTIN has released his new single 'I Wanna Go' and plays Galway in September as part of his ambitious nationwide tour, which will see him play 32 gigs in all 32 counties, in 32 days.

The Mayo-born singer-songwriter plays the upstairs of the bar at the Róisín Dubh on Friday September 6 at 8pm. An inveterate traveller, who has lived in Qatar and has run marathons in North Korea, 'I Wanna Go' is inspired by thee artist's own wanderlust. "It's about leaving the nine to five life in search of adventure, something every listener can relate to," he says. "It was produced by Dave Skelton, and is reminiscent of offerings from The Kings of Leon and Gavin James."

Martin's 32 county tour starts September 1 and sees him travelling Ireland in a campervan. The tour will comprise headline gigs, support slots, house concerts, and festival appearances. He will be joined by various Irish artists along the way.
