Maeve Mulrennan goes Over The Edge

Event to also feature readings from Jo Burns and Nollaig O’Donnell

MAEVE MULRENNAN, head of visual art and education at the Galway Arts Centre, will be one of the readers at the Over The Edge: Open Reading in the Galway City Library on Thursday August 29 at 6.30pm.

Maeve has worked at the Galway Arts Centre since 2006. She also worked with EVA International and Dublin City Council Culture Company, and is the co-curator of the youth programme for Cúirt International Festival of Literature. Her short stories have been published in several online journals, The Doire Press 2013 Anthology, The Honest Ulsterman, and The Galway Review.

Also reading will be poet Jo Burns, winner of the 2017 Shirley McClure Poetry Prize, the 2018 Magma Poetry Competition, and the 2018 New Irish Writing in Germany Poetry Award. The third reader will be Galwegian Nollaig O’Donnell, author of Something Within, a collection of poetry, reflections, vignettes, sketches and paintings, published by Veritas in 2016.

There will be an open mic after the featured readers. New readers are welcome. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. Admission is free.
