Slyrydes - new single, Galway gig

Post-punk quartet in the Bierhaus tonight

'OUT PATIENCE', the new single from acclaimed Galway post-punk/indie band Slyrydes, will be launched at a free gig tonight in the Bierhaus, Henry Street, at 10pm.

The third single from the quartet of Mark Raftery (vocals/guitar ), Mark Comer (lead guitar ), Fuz Reilly (bass ), and Paul Clarke (drums ), 'Out Patience' follows the 'Mental Health' and 'Point Of View' releases which have won the band much critical praise.

Paul McLoone of Today FM and The Undertones called their music "Urgent. Brilliant", while The Thin Air described Slyrydes as "a band we’re sure are destined for big things in 2019 and beyond". In January, Nialler9 placed them on his list of the Top 8 emerging Irish bands.

"We like the idea of playing a no bulls**t, face to face, punk rock gig," said Fuz in advance of tonight's show. Speaking about the new single, he said: "'Out Patience' is a song about running out of time. It picks up where 'Mental Health' left off - ominous pounding bass and drums, swirling chaotic guitars, and combative raw vocals."

'Out Patience' will be available on all streaming platforms from today. The band's next single will be 'Dangerous Animals', due out in September/October. See slyrydes.com
