Leaving and Junior Cert classes starting from September at Galway Study Centre

The Galway Study Centre is a tutorial school which has been based in Mill Street for the past 35 years. Enrolments are now being taken for its new term, starting on September 16.

Tuition is given after school, in the evenings, and on Saturdays to secondary school students who are studying for the Leaving and Junior Certificate examinations. All the main subjects are offered including English, Irish, French, maths, and all the business and science subjects. Additionally, intensive revision courses are provided during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Shorter day and weekend courses take place at other times throughout the year for the oral examinations, as well as specialised day seminars/workshops on various Leaving Cert topics. Also, study skills classes start from the end of September, teaching students effective study techniques and helping them to develop efficient study routines. These take place on one evening per week over a four week period.

A separate Leaving Cert higher level Irish course for adults is offered on Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for those who need grade H4 or above for entry into a teacher training college.
