Runners and walkers who wish to help the Galway Hospice while engaging in exercise can do both when they take part in the 32nd Claregalway 10K Road Race which will be held in the village at the end of next week.
The 32nd Claregalway 10K Road race/fun-run/walk, sponsored by The Arches Hotel, Bar and Restaurant, and organised by Clare River Harriers and one of the fasting growing athletic clubs in the country, will be held on Saturday August 24 starting at 6pm.
Many runners set their personal best times on this flat one lap course, so here is your opportunity to see how you fare.
The entry fee is €20 and €5 from each entry fee goes to Galway Hospice. Each online entry will receive a 2019 Claregalway 10K t-shirt and nline entries close at midnight on August 23.

Late entries will be taken on race day between 4.30pm and 5.30pm at the Claregalway Community Centre.
The 10K starts in the Cúirt Na Habhann estate near Claregalway National School and the finish is outside the Claregalway Community Centre.
There will be prizes for the first five individual men, the first five individual ladies, the first two men and the first two ladies over 40, 50, and 60.
The Brendan Gavin Memorial Plaque will be awarded to the the largest team entered. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Claregalway Community Centre
